Peaceful and welcoming cottage
Sedbergh is a small village, but has all the amenities you need, including an excellent supermarket on the outskirts. Plenty of parking in the private car park area and a quaint cut-through alleyway to the cottage courtyard frontages (3 or 4 steps down to it from the car park). Very pretty courtyard, cottages are a mix of holiday rentals and permanent, privately owned dwellings. Beautifully furnished inside, plenty of room and high-end appliances in the kitchen and bathroom. Despite being located just yards from and behind the main street and pubs in Sedbergh, as soon as you step into the courtyard, all the noise stops. Literally! Not a sound can be heard, making this the ideal relaxing get away if you're looking for that. Main street has plentiful cafes, pubs and independant shops and a central, large church. Never been to Sedbergh before, but centrally placed for exploring the Yorkshire Dales to the east and the Lake District to the west. Just lovely.
