Plas Pontfaen is a three-storey country house with a quirky and vintage allure situated in the heart of the beautiful Gwaun Valley, near Fishguard and Newport in North Pembrokeshire. With ample off-road parking and an EV charging point, this historic retreat is relaxed and comfortable and welcomes two well-behaved dogs, making it an ideal haven for families or friends seeking a memorable getaway. Step back in time when you enter, surrounded with relaxed grandeur.

The heart of the home is undoubtedly the kitchen/diner, where you can gather to enjoy home-cooked meals beside the glow of an open-fire and plan the day's adventures. The sitting room meanwhile is a haven of relaxation, complete with a toasty woodburning stove and Freeview TV, perfect for snug nights in. The utility rooms are a practical addition, with one housing a washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge/freezer whilst another houses a basin and WC.

When it's time to rest, you will be greeted on the half-floor by a spacious double bedroom, complete with an en-suite featuring a walk-in shower and basin. Further along on the first floor, you will find another inviting double bedroom with a basin and two twin bedrooms, one of which also boasts a basin. The second floor houses a family room, perfect for children, with three single beds and an en-suite with a basin and WC.

On your door-step, there are public footpaths that allows you to take in the beauty of your surroundings in the Gwaun Valley.

Further afield, immerse yourself in the rich history of the area with a visit to the fascinating Castell Henllys Iron Age Village, or take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful Llys-y-frân Reservoir. Be sure to explore Fishguard Fort, the captivating castles at Cardigan and Cilgerran and the stunning St Davids Cathedral, offering glimpses into the region's captivating past.
