Pwll Glas is a delightful pet-friendly detached house in Trefeglwys, Powys, boasting a hot tub, woodburning stoves, and sweeping countryside views. Llanidloes less than 5 miles.

Pwll Glas is a delightful detached house resting in Trefeglwys, Powys. Set on a working farm and enjoying far-reaching countryside views, welcoming families and groups of friends, this inviting retreat combines character features, a hot tub, and generous living spaces with the beauty of the Mid Wales landscape. Arrive at Pwll Glas and pull into the ample off-road parking area, where the neat red brick exterior and surrounding countryside immediately set the scene for a memorable rural escape.

Stepping inside, the tiled porch offers the perfect place to pause with a morning coffee, sink into one of the armchairs, and admire the views stretching across the landscape before beginning your day. From here, make your way into the spacious kitchen/diner, a welcoming social hub where everyone can gather. White fitted units, granite worktops, an induction hob, integrated double oven and microwave, air fryer, and a selection of useful appliances ensure mealtimes are a pleasure, while the breakfast bar provides a handy spot for light bites and morning chats.

The large wooden dining table invites guests to linger over hearty breakfasts and evening meals, while a woodburning stove set within a brick fireplace adds warmth and character. A sitting area positioned between the kitchen and dining space, complete with a TV, creates an additional spot to relax with a book or enjoy a quieter moment while keeping part of the conversation. The carpeted hallway leads through to the main sitting room, where a large corner sofa and additional sofa offer plenty of room to stretch out after a day of exploring.

Here, another woodburning stove housed within a striking red brick fireplace creates a welcoming focal point, while the mounted TV and spectacular countryside views provide entertainment both indoors and out. A ground-floor king-size bedroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements and features a dressing table along with its own woodburning stove, creating a charming retreat for peaceful evenings. Upstairs, the split-level landing leads to four further bedrooms.

One spacious king-size room is finished with built-in wardrobes, a dressing table, and delightful cow-inspired touches that celebrate the property's farming surroundings. A second king-size bedroom enjoys lovely views across the countryside, while the double bedroom benefits from built-in wardrobes and outlooks across the farm itself. The twin bedroom provides a comfortable space for younger guests or friends sharing.

Completing the first floor is a shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC, enhanced by exposed beams and attractive rural views, while the family bathroom features a large corner bath, offering the chance to soak while gazing out across the landscape, as well as a bidet. Outside, the patio provides an excellent setting for al fresco dining and evening drinks, while the hot tub invites guests to unwind beneath the open sky after a day spent exploring the surrounding countryside. Practical touches include a garage housing a washing machine and tumble dryer, while also offering useful storage space for bicycles and outdoor equipment.

The nearest pub can be reached with a short journey from the property, while a shop and the market town of Llanidloes are within easy driving distance for essentials, dining out, and browsing independent businesses. Spend time exploring Llanidloes, where black-and-white timber-framed buildings line the streets, independent cafés provide welcoming stops throughout the day, and the historic Market Hall sits proudly at the heart of the town. Close by, Llyn Clywedog offers dramatic reservoir views, scenic walking routes alongside the water, and abundant opportunities for spotting wildlife.

Visitors can also head into Hafren Forest, following woodland trails beneath towering trees, discovering beautiful river scenery, and venturing towards the source of the River Severn. Further exploration can take you to Machynlleth, a characterful market town known for its independent shops, thriving arts scene, and fascinating local heritage. Nearby, the Centre for Alternative Technology offers engaging exhibitions, inspiring environmental displays, and attractive gardens to wander through.

Nature lovers can also visit the Dyfi Osprey Project, where dedicated viewing areas, wetland scenery, and the chance to observe remarkable birdlife create an unforgettable experience. For another rewarding day out, visit Newtown, where riverside walks, local eateries, and shopping opportunities await before exploring Dolforwyn Castle, with its fascinating ruins, Welsh history, and elevated views across the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, discover Gregynog Hall and Gardens, celebrated for its woodland walks, seasonal planting displays, and elegant historic setting.

From farm views to hot tub evenings, Pwll Glas has it all.
