Regency House is a beautiful Victorian town house in the heart of Cambridge. Located in the city centre it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station. It houses ten stylish rooms some with balconies and some with park views; some with en suites and some with use of shared bathrooms.
Regency House is a small independent boutique hotel accommodating tourists business people and academics. It is housed in a beautiful five storey Victorian building and located in Cambridge city centre. Built in 1850 the hotel has the charming characteristics of a typical Victorian townhouse with high ceilings and sash windows.
There are ten stylish rooms split over four levels; most have a view of the historical 25 acre Parkers Piece and two have balconies. The famous Cambridge University colleges are within a short walking distance - as is the River Cam and the city's museums galleries shops pubs and restaurants. Regency House is a five minute walk from the bus station and fewer than ten minutes from the train station.
In 2015 the hotel was fully refurbished with a contemporary colour scheme design from Farrow and Ball. The house has been transformed with new bathrooms carpets furniture and fittings. Wi-Fi runs as standard throughout the house and is free for all our guests.
Every room has a flat screen TV DAB radio tea and coffee making facilities and comfortable mattresses with duck and down feather duvets and pillows. A continental breakfast is served in the basement: bread and croissants are freshly baked every morning and are enjoyed with a fresh pot of coffee. Regency House may not be suitable for guests with disabilities or mobility issues due to the rooms being spread out over five floors.
Regency House does not have a night porter to assist guests with disabilities or mobility issues; guests must be able to evacuate themselves in an emergency. There are no vibrating pads or visual alarms at this property to alert guests with disabilities in the event of fire. Guests can park free of charge over night along the single yellow lines on Regent Terrace between the hours of 18:30 and 08:30 then all day Sunday.
Thus allowing a guest to arrive on a Saturday evening at 18:30 and not need to move their car until 08:30 Monday morning.
