Surrounded by gardens and meadows it is ideally located for enjoying the best of the spectacular moors. Almost everyone who comes here manages to wind down and take pleasure in watching the world go by.
There is plenty to do and see in the local area - tiny hamlets picturesque villages and thriving market towns; National Trust properties; unparalleled walking cycling and horse riding on the moors; and many opportunities for photographers botanists and wildflower enthusiasts. For cyclists we offer secure bicycle storage and a drying area. Each morning a combination buffet and traditional English breakfast cooked in the Aga is served to set you up for the day.
The eggs are from our own free range hens and we use as much locally sourced produce as possible. We also serve the most wonderful cream teas with the best homemade scones - ever!! Beechwood has five bedrooms each decorated in a cottage style and there is a comfortable guest lounge with many guides and reference books available for planning your stay. From the moment you are greeted with cup of tea and homemade biscuits until the moment you leave we aim to enhance your visit to Dartmoor in every way possible.
