A unique feature of Sulgrave Manor gardens is the Elizabethan Villager's Garden, a recreation of the sort of garden that ordinary villager would have had during the Elizabethan period. Plenty of historic houses now feature Elizabethan gardens, but these are usually gardens of the rich and powerful upper classes. This is different; a garden that an ordinary villager would have been familiar with, with plants used for cooking, healing, and household purposes.
