Alnwick Garden
Alnwick Garden's Grand Cascade
A creation of the Duchess of Northumberland, Alnwick Garden is a delight; a modern garden combining sculpture, water features, and beautiful plants to create a wonderful family attraction. The European Garden features the largest collection of European plants in the UK.

Families will love Alnwick Gardens; there are plenty of water features and lots of opportunities for the younger generation - and their parents - to get wet.

Moving Water

The Serpent Garden and Grand Cascade show off the different ways water can move and change direction. There is a Bamboo Labyrinth, and the largest treehouse in the world. Year-round highlights include a profusion of spring and summer bulbs, autumn colours, and plenty of winter interest with evergreens, bamboo, and topiary.

Popular garden areas include a rose garden, ornamental garden, woodland walk, a spiral garden, and a very intriguing poison garden!

We really enjoyed the gardens, particularly the modern sculpture, used as focal points for themed garden 'rooms'.

Alnwick Gardens truly do offer a fantastic day out, but if you want more, the historic castle is just outside the gardens, and you can get a joint ticket for both places.
