This 500-year old, Grade II listed, stone-built cottage for three people is attached to the owner's home, just outside the village of Llanbedr in the Snowdonia National Park.

Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is attached to the owner's 500-year old farmhouse in a stunning, isolated position above the village of Llanbedr in Snowdonia. The cottage has one double bedroom with an additional single futon and an e-suite bathroom, offering accommodation for up to three people. The open plan ground floor has a modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a cosy sitting room which is dominated by the magnificent stone fireplace, which contains a woodburning stove and the original bread oven. Outside the cottage is a small enclosed patio garden with furniture and off road parking for two cars as well a range of footpaths that lead from the front door. Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is a beautifully restored part of an old stone farmhouse and is a perfect cottage for walkers of all abilities, or for a couple seeking a remote, romantic retreat.

The children and I stayed in this beautiful cottage, located near the little village of Llanbedr. We had a fantastic week staying in this cottage, which my children thought seemed magical. Especially as the cottage was located in an enchanted woodland surrounded by the beauty of nature. We had time to explore these local woodlands. This cottage is great for walkers, hikers and someone who wants to escape the rat race. So book this cottage if you fancy finding the inner Explorer in you. Enjoy the amazing mountains, woodlands, waterfalls and not forgetting the beautiful coastline... Oh an the miniature Italian village of Portmeirion, in Gwynedd My little Random Masters loved 'exploring the Enchanted forest and River Afon, Wales' I have to say the location is more beautiful when seeing it for real Anyway Baa Baa for now. I'm sure you'll love the sheep too

If you want to be isolated this is the perfect cottage for you.
This was a perfect cottage for us as we wanted a very quiet location. The owners could not have been nicer and the facilities provided were great, plenty of logs and coal for the fire, a superb shower and the bed was very comfortable. The dogs liked lying in front of the woodburner when we had it lit but soon moved away to a cooler part of the lounge. If you aren't used to it, the roads are a little thin and winding but you soon get used. Wouldn't recommend the back road to Harlech though.

Being able to walk through hills straight from Cwn Yr Afon was ideal for us. It is in a perfect, isolated location. The car was hardly needed all week. The owners are a lovely friendly couple.

A wonderful cottage in an absolutely beautiful location. There was easy access to mountain walks (straight out the door) and it was just a short 10mins to the nearest beach, pub and shop. The owners are such friendly and hospitable people too.
Mr Thomason

I loved the isolation and the fact that you were so far away from reality. The farmer was very helpful and kind, going out of his way to make sure we were all OK.
