This 500-year old, Grade II listed, stone-built cottage for three people is attached to the owner's home, just outside the village of Llanbedr in the Snowdonia National Park.

Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is attached to the owner's 500-year old farmhouse in a stunning, isolated position above the village of Llanbedr in Snowdonia. The cottage has one double bedroom with an additional single futon and an e-suite bathroom, offering accommodation for up to three people. The open plan ground floor has a modern fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar and a cosy sitting room which is dominated by the magnificent stone fireplace, which contains a woodburning stove and the original bread oven.

Outside the cottage is a small enclosed patio garden with furniture and off road parking for two cars as well a range of footpaths that lead from the front door. Cwm Yr Afon Cottage is a beautifully restored part of an old stone farmhouse and is a perfect cottage for walkers of all abilities, or for a couple seeking a remote, romantic retreat.

Best short break EVER
Total isolation , yet so close to all the great places this area has to offer . Total quiet at night just wildlife and the river . We spent four days here with our whippet , and we all loved it . Great walks literally on the doorstep, the valley is covered in a carpet like moss which gives the whole place a fantasy film kind of feeling ,combine this with the abundance of waterfalls and mountains ,well just don't forget a camera , The owners Sandra and Ben are super friendly and informative and the cottage is very modern and clean . We totally adored this place and can?t wait to return.

Ultimate secluded cottage getaway dream
This has to be the perfect place to getaway from the rat race of life and get back to real life the cottage is around 3 miles down a very narrow road wide cars avoid it runs next to a small river that has small waterfalls here and there and makes for a lovely walk of which there are plenty also upon arrival we were greeted by Sandra and later Ben and i have to say they are the sort of people that you certainly remember due to the fact there so nice the cottage is lovely and clean and spacious there is a roof top terrace for afternoon G&Ts and room out front for a BBQ and if you love walks theres a 1000 acres to explore we will be making a return visit very highly recommend.

Romantic cottage in beautifully secluded location
The cottage is wonderfully finished to provide great comfort with an authentic feel, without being in anyway over-fussy. The secluded location completes a romantic setting. The area is great for lots of stunning hill walks and is close enough for some stunning beaches and days out. The owners are a genuine and welcoming couple and have done so much to develop the whole property. We were instantly made to feel welcome and would thoroughly recommend this for anyone looking for a scenic quiet getaway in the countryside.

Stunning
The children and I stayed in this beautiful cottage, located near the little village of Llanbedr. We had a fantastic week staying in this cottage, which my children thought seemed magical. Especially as the cottage was located in an enchanted woodland surrounded by the beauty of nature. We had time to explore these local woodlands. This cottage is great for walkers, hikers and someone who wants to escape the rat race. So book this cottage if you fancy finding the inner Explorer in you. Enjoy the amazing mountains, woodlands, waterfalls and not forgetting the beautiful coastline... Oh an the miniature Italian village of Portmeirion, in Gwynedd My little Random Masters loved 'exploring the Enchanted forest and River Afon, Wales' I have to say the location is more beautiful when seeing it for real Anyway Baa Baa for now. I'm sure you'll love the sheep too

If you want to be isolated this is the perfect cottage for you.
This was a perfect cottage for us as we wanted a very quiet location. The owners could not have been nicer and the facilities provided were great, plenty of logs and coal for the fire, a superb shower and the bed was very comfortable. The dogs liked lying in front of the woodburner when we had it lit but soon moved away to a cooler part of the lounge. If you aren't used to it, the roads are a little thin and winding but you soon get used. Wouldn't recommend the back road to Harlech though.
