RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS
The house is elegant, spacious, warm and well appointed. We loved the open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge arrangement, with the separate cosy sitting room. It was ideal for our family of 10 spread over 3 generations. The location was ideal - near enough to a (quiet) A-road to provide good access to the Brecons, and so that we didn't worry about the prospect of snow.

The house was a lovely base for us to explore the Brecon Beacons and visit Cardiff. The facilities are excellent and lots of space. A very well appointed house and we would highly recommend it to others.

Dirty but adequate
We had booked as a large group for a surprise birthday. Sykes the booking agent were not particularly helpful, especially regarding accessing the key! The cottage stated it would sleep 12 and we had booked for 11. On arrival it was apparent there were not enough beds never mind crockery and cutlery. The oven was filthy and dishwasher smelly. The cleaner obviously doesn't do much cleaning!! The bedrooms were not particularly clean -piles of hair under the beds...also watch the floor lights upstairs - 2 people burnt their feet. All I can say is it did for the weekend but for any longer - no thanks

A very disappointing cottage that was dirty and not up to the description on the website.
Although on first look this house seemed pleasant, but it hadn't been cleaned. We found the sheets to be soiled (god knows what with) and stained, the fridge and oven dirty,3 of the beds broken or about to collapse and even the locks on the bathrooms broken! Some aspects were dangerous, such as screws sticking out of the floor. This house was in a lovely position and could have been ideal for a group of 9 adults if they had had adequate towels, enough seats around the table and large saucepans that had handles so we could cook for 9. It seemed that the owners did not care about their guests and wanted to get money by providing everything as cheaply as possible. My advice - make sure you have a tool kit with you! And take your own saucepans.
