Beautiful setting; lovely barn conversion for us and our dogs. What a beautiful part of the world. The accommodation is set in a hamlet surrounded by the Shropshire hills, with a few cottages and a farm nearby. Apart from the occasional tractor, the sheep dogs barking on there way to work and the sheep, this was a quiet peaceful place to stay. Not complaining about it, it was the sound of the countryside, just perfect. The owners house was nearby, and she is lovely and helpful, not at all intimidating for us, she was there if you needed anything or just to chat and nothing was too much trouble. She told us where the nearest pubs are and where the best walks or drives are in the area. We enjoyed the drive over the tops to Church Stretton, be warned it is narrow and very steep at both ends. However, with care, it does reward you with wonderful views and some fantastic walks. The Crown was our favourite pub, great food, lovely choice beers for me and friendly staff and locals.
The barn is nicely converted, and for us well equipped. It was very comfortable and clean and was ideal for accommodating our two dogs. The owner was very friendly and helpful and she was around if you needed anything or just to have a chat. Her cottage was close by, but we never felt intimidated by this. There is a decent size, and safe, fenced off garden that you can let your dogs have wander around. For us it was a great place to stay and to bring your furry friends with you.
We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend it. joolsmusik 2018-10-13
Bliss ! Just returned from the lovely Willow Brook Barn. What a wonderful beautiful place at the foot of the breathtakingly beautiful Long Mynd. Cathy the owner is just lovely and nothing is too much trouble. She advised us on the lovely walks.local stores, places to visit and of course the best pubs. The barn is exactly what you need when you have dogs and being able to let them have a run safe in the grounds is a bonus. Thankyou Cathy for a wonderful break. X Pam W 2018-02-17
Our dogs loved it So did we. This is the perfect place to base yourself if you love walking, wonderful views and chilling out. Cathy is a great hostess, not only is the barn perfect but her suggestions for walks and local fare are equally perfect. The barn is clean with everything you need for your stay and has a very relaxed atmosphere about it. There is a wood burner to sit round and discuss the days activity and relax with a glass of something. The dogs are able to run around the garden freely without means of escape. Will will definitely be going back. pso56 2017-11-20
