I booked this conversion last minute for a base to explore the area and lots of walking.
Arrived in the dark but seemed small from outside but on entering was spacious. Good size kitchen well equipped. Large sitting room with log burner, bathroom with shower and 2 double bedrooms.
My husband and Mum turned up later and enjoyed the weekend. I stayed to enjoy 4 days of walking to the nearby beaches. Little Haven a short walk down the steep hill with lovely cove/ harbour. Not a lot open this time of year. 3 pubs on site but only St Brides open.
The owners holiday home is adjacent to the property with gravel drive and parking for 2 cars for Foxglove. Owners weren?t there when we stayed so very peaceful and due to little light pollution amazing star gazing.
The property was well cleaned before I arrived and a basket of wood and kindle provided as a starter pack for the log burner which was very nice on the cold evenings. Not sure if anyone had checked out beforehand I don't believe so as it took a good 24 hours to warm the property by central heating and log burner but was very toasty after that.
Nice to have a radio/cd player and dvd to use.
Nice walk to Broad Haven where there is a large sandy beach and lots of surfers. Cafe/ pub and convenience store open every day
No pets allowed at the property so property smelt nice and fresh.
Loved the beamed ceiling. Roof does slope in kitchen and upstairs annexe bedroom but no issue for any of us as all under 5, 8?.

We stayed here this week, it is a lovely cottage but does need a very good clean, there are cobwebs everywhere, mould in the bathroom and kitchen and just had a bit of a grotty feel. If it had a deep clean this little cottage would be perfect. It's in an excellent location, 5 mins fro the beach. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The beds are very comfortable. We probably would stay here again if it was cleaned.

Lovely cottage but let down by some small details and cleaning
The cottage is really lovely and in a great location but was ruined for us because of a few minor details which could have been easily remedied. The cottage could do with a good deep clean - it was quite grimy, there's a damp smell in the kitchen cupboard, a cheesy/sick smell in the bedroom, the leather sofas were sticky, the towels from the previous tenants were left in the wardrobe (the manager turned up after we'd been there about a half an hour to take them away - just glad we hadn't used them!). The toilet seat was broken and the DVD player on the TV was jammed - although both were replaced after reporting to the manager - however we could have done without the hassle of it. There was a problem with the toilet cistern making noise through the night (which had been mentioned in the visitor book by a previous tenant), we mentioned it to the maintenance man when he came to fix the loo seat and he sorted it out - don't know why this couldn't have been sorted out before? The outside seating area is just a table and chairs in the car park - it would be nicer if a small area could be fenced off to make it more private. In the visitors book someone also mentioned the lack of washing line or tumble dryer - for a beach holiday cottage it's a bit pathetic when you have to construct your own washing line to dry your beach stuff. It could be a really lovely place but just felt that the owners left it in the hands of the management team and they were just doing the bare minimum and weren't taking on board comments made by previous visitors. And the lack of WiFi was irritating - the handbook citing that the owners wanted people to be able to get away from it all - that's just a cop out. We complained to Sykes on our return and they haven't even bothered to respond.
