One of a pair of attractive red-brick single storey cottages in the quiet hamlet of Kersall within the grounds of Hill Farm (no longer a working farm). Rose Cottage sleeps 2 having a twin bedroom (plus the added advantage of a bed settee for the occasional guest).

Kersall is located in beautiful countryside, close to Newark, Southwell, Ollerton, Edwinstowe and within easy travelling distance of Lincoln and Nottingham. The cottages are in an ideal location for exploring Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood Country.

Both cottages have their own sitting room with flat screen TV and DVD, bathroom (with shower over the bath) and fully fitted dining kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge (with small freezer compartment) and washing machine/dryer.

Rose Cottage has an electric fire set within an authentic Victorian fireplace, and there are French doors in the bedroom overlooking the gardens. The cottage is carpetted throughout.

Outside there is off road parking, with each cottage having its own parking space adjacent to the cottage.

Just outside the kitchen of Rose Cottage is a small patio area with garden furniture to relax and enjoy the wonderful views.

Visitors are welcome to use the Hill Farm grounds which has a wide lawn, garden and patio area perfect for enjoying the panoramic views.

The cottages are decorated and cleaned to a high standard.

We ask guests not to smoke in the cottages.

We regret we cannot accept any pets.

About Us

Rose and Sweet Briar Cottages are owned and run by myself (Janet Hind).

My husband Chris and I moved here with our family just over 9 years ago. We bought Hill Farm from the previous owners who had converted the farm out buildings into self catering cottages.

Kersall is an old Quaker Hamlet.

It really is a beautiful area where visitors can enjoy the views, the peace and quite of the countryside and for those who are more energetic there are footpaths in abundance for you to explore. Kersall is a magical place to live and we would love you to stay with us in our self catering accommodation and for you to experience its tranquillity.
