Sweet Briar Cottage sleeps 4 in a single storey brick cottage, offering beautiful views over open countryside, set in the quiet hamlet of Kersall within the 1 acre grounds of Hill Farm (no longer a working farm). The cottages are in an ideal location for exploring Sherwood Forest and Robin Hood Country.

Kersall is located conveniently close to Newark, Southwell, Ollerton, Edwinstowe and within easy travelling distance of Lincoln and Nottingham.

Sweet Briar Cottage offers a double bedroom plus a twin bedroom. It has a separate sitting room, decorated in a traditional country cottage style, with an electric log effect fire to take the chill off a winter evening, while you relax with a flat screen TV and DVD.

The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, and the fully fitted dining kitchen has a table with 4 chairs, an electric cooker, microwave, fridge (with small freezer compartment) and washing machine/dryer.

Outside there is off road parking, with each cottage having its own parking space.

The cottages are decorated and cleaned to a high standard.

We ask guests not to smoke in the cottages. We regret we cannot accept any pets.

Visitors are welcome to use the 1 acre grounds which has lawn, garden and patio area and to enjoy the panoramic views.

Visiting Kersall

Our guests come from all over Britain and also from abroad from as far a field as Australia, New Zealand, Spain and the Netherlands to mention but a few. Many come to visit family and friends who live in the area and return to stay with us on a regular basis, others come to explore the East Midlands as we are ideally situated for the A1 and within easy reach of Nottingham, Lincoln, Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

Historic Newark on Trent is our nearest town for shopping and is approximately 7 miles away.

This is a lovely Market Town with the ruins of an old Castle situated next to the River Trent. Newark is famous for its Antique Fairs which are held on the Newark Showground several times during the year along with many other events that our guests come to see.

RECENT REVIEWS

What a lovely cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. Janet and Chris were so helpful and friendly that we almost felt a part of the family. And what a view! We kept the upper half-door open in the evenings just so we could enjoy the wonderful view from the doorway over the gardens and fields.

We wouldn't hesitate to return.

David Ross and family, Gloucestershire
