Uncomfortable, stressful, beautiful views and sunsets
We stayed in Beas cottage for around two weeks. It is absolutely not suitable for the elderly and kids. I felt like the busy fast road outside was lethal for walking from car space to door. The back way round to cottage back door was extremely stressful for me and I very nearly fell down the slippery steps onto my back. It's unsuitable for lugging heavy cases as we did. The turn in to car space was hard to see in the dark. I wouldn?t recommend a long stay although the cottage had everything we needed. The couch in the front lounge was very uncomfortable. The central heating good. The stairs very steep and I found them hard to climb so unsuitable for any one unsteady and unfit! However these points are stated in the internet Bed was ok but I was allergic to the feathers in the quilt Ali though more bedding is provided. The back bedroom had a double bed in it but the door couldn?t shut. The bathroom ok rather small if you're a bigger person. Hayfield a nice location with pubs n cafes. Lovely countryside with walks. The facilities good in kitchen and plenty of hot water for washing up. Good Hoover and cleaning materials. Cute decor.

Filthy
The cottage was so filthy we could not stay . It had not been cleaned the toilet was had urine on the seat and had not been flushed the bedding covered in hair and revolting stains The owner refused to offer any kind of help.

Ice stay in a no frills cottage
The cottage itself is set on a busy road. One of the neighbours very kindly allowed us to go across his back garden to access the rear of the cottage. The cottage is basic but has everything you need ( all kitchen appliances, washing machine etc). It has great views of the surrounding countryside and the nearest pub is 5 mins walk away. There is an Aldi 10 mins drive away. Only slight criticism was that there was just one toilet roll and hardly any washing up liquid and no hand sanitizer/ wash. Great place to base yourself for lovely walks around the area.
