Lancashire Self Catering cottage, Box Tree Farm, Wennington, sleeps 10

Spacious, high standard, warm and inviting - sleeps at least 10 people, great stay! Highly recommended
As a family we looked for somewhere special to cater for 10 of our family for 3 nights. This farm fitted the criteria. It may look small when you first arrive but its a tardis with a ground floor double room with ensuite, so was very suitable for one of our party who after leaving hospital, has not been able to cater for stairs very well. Large homely kitchen which could easily seat 12 (which we did) and 2 children on the settee next door to it. Great homely front room which has 3 large settee's and we brought in extra chairs for playing games at night. It has a large TV, Wifi, central heating and fire of which we didnt need but it was there. Upstairs is a double room, twin room, double and bunk beds. The photo's on this website do not do it justice, all very recently carpeted throughout, mainly greys and white's. Everything seems to have been thought of and we just couldnt fault it. Its approx 15 minutes from Kirby Lonsdale and approx 30-40 minutes to Bowness. You wake up from a great night's sleep, cows mooing, but quite some distance away, the glamping is in the field next door. Oh Yes, a hot tub which some of our family used. It does say on the website, that there is a pub 1 mile away, but we never got there. There is also Wennington Railway station close by and I think you could probably walk to the cottage, but best by car, space for approx 4 cars. I would highly recommend this cottage for 10 guests and there is probably room to have another 2-4 with blow up mattresses if you needed it. The owner met us there to exchange the keys and was very welcoming and he is on hand if there are any queries - thanks for a lovely stay
