Character features. Open fire in sitting room. WiFi.
Shop and pub 5 min walk. Beach less than 2 miles. Nefyn 4 miles.
A pretty, whitewashed, stone, terraced cottage, set on the outskirts of the village of Llithfaen, one of the highest villages on the Llyn Peninsula, enjoys some wonderful views and is just four miles from the delightful coastal resort of Nefyn and eight miles from the market town of Pwllheli, North Wales. This pretty cottage provides a cosy base, ideal for exploring this wonderful part of North Wales for a couple, two friends or a small family. A homely little place with a coastal theme, the cottage is full of quirkiness and character features such as the exposed beams in the sitting room and the open fire is a lovely addition, especially during those cooler months.
The sitting room offers comfortable seating and a dining area, and a cosy bathroom has been neatly tucked away, off the living accommodation. A well-equipped kitchen and two double bedrooms upstairs, one enjoying wonderful countryside and distant sea views, complete this lovely cottage. Outside there is a front garden with furniture, accessed down some steps from the paved patio area.
Take in the sea breeze and enjoy those wonderful views after a busy day out and about, walking on the mountains. Benefiting from a sunny aspect itâs an ideal spot to sit and relax, enjoy a drink or even some alfresco dining perhaps? On the doorstep, and within walking distance of the cottage, are the abandoned slate village of Nant Gwrtheyrn (now a popular Welsh language centre), miles of relaxing, rolling countryside, with spectacular views over the whole of Tremadog and Caernarfon Bays and the incredible prehistoric remains of Tre'r Ceiri, a hill fort, with stunning views, made up of 150 dry stone hut circles. The area is an ideal base for either an active walking holiday or a relaxing, sightseeing tour, full of history, spectacular scenery and award-winning beaches.
Discover deserted coves and enjoy miles of sandy beaches which this coastline is famed for. Just a few miles away are the sailing centres at Abersoch and Pwllheli, and the beautiful village of Aberdaron with a National Trust visitor centre. Slightly further afield is the stunning Snowdonia National Park, the Italianate village and gardens of Portmeirion, definitely worth a visit and for history lovers there are many historic castles, including Criccieth, Caernarfon and Harlech.
This lovely cottage offers a great holiday base for a relaxing break, all year round.

Rural cottage in desperate need of TLC
We stayed for a week. The cottage is very rural and could be a real asset, but it needs some TLC. The PAT testing was over 8 months out of date, the fire extinguisher in the kitchen needs recharging, the bathroom needs some work as the bath has rust in several places, mould in the bathroom, the area just inside the front door is uneven and the floor edging strip is dangerously protruding and the whole house needs a repaint. The small garden could do with the grass being cut to be usable. The wifi was rather unstable and slow. It just needs some TLC
