Wingfield Manor is a ruined 15th-century manor house built for Ralph, Lord Cromwell (see Tattershall Castle). The house was purchased by the Earls of Shrewsbury after Cromwell's death. It was abandoned in the 18th century, though a farmhouse was later built in part of the cross range.
