The Story Behind the Image - Loch Coriusk, Isle of Skye
Loch Coriusk is a freshwater loch in the south-east corner of the magical Isle of Skye, Scotland.
The loch is set in the very centre of the Cuillin Hills, surrounded on all side by the peaks of the Black Cuillins.
I came here on a boat trip from the fishing village of Elgol. We crossed Loch Scavaig and landed at the mouth of the River Coriusk, where a short trail took us the shore of Loch Coriusk.
What an incredible location! Many of my fellow boat passengers spent their time ashore walking along the loch but I stayed relatively near the southern end of the loch to photograph.
