Brilliant cottage
Lovely place to stay and the cottage is cosy and welcoming. The owner is absolutely lovely and really cares about you having a great stay. It's a smashing historical cottage with a beautiful bedroom and living area that has been furnished up to a very high standard. Really nice carrot cake left as well which was a warm and caring touch. Alston the area is unique and has terrific countryside surrounding it. Great pubs and shops around a cobbled square which was very picturesque. Really excellent stay.

Absolutely lovely place to stay
Kings cottage is in a quiet mews in the lovely town of Alston. It's a beautifully kept property with a well equipped kitchen and large lounge with very comfy sofas and a gas fuelled woodburner. Upstairs there's a spacious bedroom with the most comfortable bed ever and a bathroom. The owner has thoughtfully renovated the property throughout and it's really like home from home with a homemade cake to welcome you on arrival. The cottage is a few minutes walk to the town which has various shops and amenities. We loved it. Hopefully you will too!!

The cottage was cosy and very warm and welcoming. The owner gave clear instruction on accessing property and was very helpful on places to eat and walks to go on in Alston. All in all, a great escape and much needed tonic.
