Lovely setting, comfortable and warm- and great with a dog
I was here for a week with my dog for work and it was really well suited to that. While no garden there's plenty of greenspace on your doorstep for walks and the essentials night and morning. A great location with all the beauty of Cumbria and a friendly genuine community, compared to the busier places in the Lake District National Park itself. Had a couple of queries when staying there and the local caretakers excelled themselves in sorting them out really quickly. Amazing friendly service but equally gave you peace and privacy. Thank you. Great range of kitchen appliances and white goods, especially helpful in winter for washing and drying outdoor clothes. Lovely view over the beach. The central heating keeps the house really warm even during my winter stay when the temperature outside was below freezing all week. For sure would stay here again. Only downside was I found dealing with Sykes Cottages less friendly or helpful, and they also sent lots of what seemed like automated emails and they didn?t respond to my queries in a timely manner, if at all. Ideally I?d book direct with the property itself, as not a good experience with Sykes Cottages.
