Lovely short break
Just returned from a short break at Church View Cottage. The cottage is ideally situated and just a short walk to all the amenities Moffat has to offer. The cottage has everything you need for a self catering holiday and is very clean and well kept. The area is very dog friendly with plenty of walks on your doorstep. There is a large field for walking your dog just down by the river which is round the corner from the cottage. A lovely relaxing break.

Ideal cottage in Moffat
We have just returned from our 2nd visit to this fabulous little cottage and already thinking about our next stay. It is spotlessly clean and so warm and cosy. The cottage has everything you need to ensure an enjoyable stay. Andy, the owner, messaged us on the evening of arrival to check if we needed anything or had any questions - this was a lovely gesture, more so with it being our second visit. You are so central to all amenities in this beautiful picturesque little town, and with no passing traffic it is so quiet and very easy to totally relax. We found more amazing walks through and around Moffat. You're only 10 miles from Great Mares tail, a great walk up to Loch Skeen which has spectacular views. We can highly recommend this cottage.

Superb cottage, excellent location
What a superb cottage this is. A great location just off the Main Street in Moffat, very quiet location and no passing traffic. The cottage was spotlessly clean throughout and the added touches provided by the owners was an unexpected bonus, welcome basket including shortbread biscuits, whiskey miniature, locally produced toffee and treats for a dog for those bringing a pet, plus a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. Very clear joining instructions on how to access the property, where to park etc made everything so simple. Moffat town offers so much choice of where to eat from takeaways to fine dining. We used the cottage as a base to explore the coast around the Solway Firth, Ayr, Edinburgh and Glasgow all of which were easily accessible from the cottage. If you're looking just to relax the cottage is ideal and there is plenty of things to do in the town or close by. Can?t thank Andy & Lynne enough for their hospitality, we'll definitely be back.

Perfect pet friendly cottage
A lovely cosy cottage, and in a great location, it was literally a 2 minute walk to the main street with pubs, cafe's and shops. Although it was so close to the centre it was very quiet and peaceful, no traffic noise or lots of passers by. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. There was a welcome basket with whisky and some Moffat toffee, even treats for our dog, which was really thoughtful. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing Stay
Staying Here for 29 nights for a work stay and I can safely say this is one of the best self catering accommodation I?ve stayed in for a very long time. I travel all over Europe with work. The location is fantastic, with plenty of eatery's and drinking establishments nearby. The cottage itself is spotless. TVs in each room, USB charging ports, Good WiFi etc. The Wood Burning stove is an extra bonus in the winter months, it totally makes them nights in front of the Tv much more enjoyable. The Bed is extra comfy, perfect for a good nights sleep after a long day at work. I would definitely recommend this for short stays or for work stays. Location is fantastic. Looking forward to returning next year.
