Lovely temporary home!
We stayed here for a long-term stay of 4-months during some repair work to our own home. The Mill has beautifully designed interiors, exposed beams, thoughtful little decorative touches throughout which made it feel it homely. Very well equipped and excellent facilities. Owners Michelle and Adrian were were both friendly and helpful. On arrival Michelle had kindly left the Christmas tree and decorations up for us to enjoy over the festive period, as well as a very warm welcoming card, chocolates and biscuits which was such a lovely gesture. It's located near by the M6, and 10 minutes away from Carlisle town centre so overall well connected. There is green walking area behind the property following along the course of River Petteril. Great views from the windows as well especially of sunsets, greenery and the river. The parking is a private area at the end of a long driveway, sometimes the route between this at night can be dark so phone torches are recommended for a short distance, then the courtesy lights usually come on which is a huge help. We were able to park the car closer to the driveway for loading/unloading which also was helpful given the amount of things to transport for the longer stay. Highly recommend this if you are looking for somewhere cosy to holiday or even a long-term stay. Thanks from us all - Raj, Madhvi, Ameya & Anish.

Top quality and very spacious self catering cottge
My family and I received a friendly welcome from the owners Michelle and Adrian. Our first impressions of our accommodation was its size & beautifully decorated. The cottage had everything we could want during our stay and lovely to have provided for us, tea, coffee, sugar etc. A great location to visit the Lakes, Hadrians Wall and Carlise. Our children said it was the best holiday cottage they had stayed in! Would recommend Carleton Mill cottage to our friends and hopefully will be back again one day.

Stunning cottage
On arrival to this beautiful cottage i was amazed at the exterior look of the cottage, but then to let my kids go in first and hear them say wow this is lovely dad i then went in with the bags and was totally stunned at the high quality of the finish. It was ideal for our stay literally two mins of the motorway and only ten mins in to carlise town centre. We stayed for 4 nights and on our last day the kids was begging to stay long !!! If only we could stayed one more night and gone to the owners halloween party gutted :( Cant wait to revisit the cottage again, and would highly recommend a stay there!! Thanks Michelle and Adrain Hopefully see you soon :)
