North Yorkshire Self Catering cottage, Middlegate, Malton, sleeps 6

A peaceful haven
This cottage is one of, if not the best, we have ever stayed in. The facilities were second to none, everything you could need was readily available. Carol and Andrew made us feel very welcome and supplied us with the basic necessities needed until we visited a supermarket. The cottage was very clean upon arrival. The views are fantastic and the sight of new lambs bounding across the fields were wonderful. Although we had brilliant weather, there were plenty of games and DVDs available if the weather had a turn for the worse. Even though the cottage is situated near a working farm, we did not experience any unpleasant odours. If you are looking for a place to escape to for peace and quiet then Middlegate cottage is it. We have had such a good week here that we have booked a two week stay next year. This really is a rural gem that you can only appreciate once you have stayed.

The location was ideal for visiting the country and the coast of north Yorkshire. The owners were very welcoming and the cottage had lovely views of farm life. If we visit the area again I would certainly book this property!

Middlegate was just what we were looking for; quiet, secluded and within easy range to visit York and the Yorkshire Moors. We would endeavour to book Middlegate again.

Lovely accommodation to relax in, in a beautiful setting. There is lots to do in surrounding area. Had a very peaceful break.

We were very impressed with the standard of the property and enjoyed the isolation and the panoramic views from the cottage on all sides. We really felt at home and after a day out we looked forward to returning to the bungalow for the evening.
