Excellent property
We enjoyed our week in Overstrand, staying at the Lobster Pot - 12 Grange Road. This bungalow was exactly what we were looking for, home from home! Our tastes are eerily similar to those of whoever designed this place!
It is well equipped with good quality furnishings and fittings. Kitchen was well stocked with basics which was welcome. Bathroom spotlessly clean with a lovely big walk in shower. Bedding was good quality and very comfortable.
Garden was large and enclosed with a lovely summer house which we sat in - comfy seating, fridge and dryer down there too. A watering can would have been a good option as the plants were crying out for a drink, given some secateurs I would have enjoyed a little pruning too!
We loved the photographs of North Norfolk which were displayed throughout the property - wondered who had taken them, they were very good indeed and brought a definite flavour of the seaside. Lots of homely touches. Great books to browse although some more novels would have been useful when we ran out of our own reading material (try to find some Dr Ruth Galloway Murder Mysteries by Ellie Griffiths which are set in North Norfolk). We took our own Scrabble and played every evening. Found Netflix on the final evening - and discovered Alexa, both fun and added bonuses. Internet connection was good.
The walk to the village is pleasant, nice pub which serves food, good little cafe at the front, slope down to beach. Church is not to be missed - lots of history there and some touching war graves, also a second hand book corner.
The Lobster Pot is located in a quiet residential street, some neighbours had lived here for 35 years and were very friendly.
It would be useful to have a visitors book in which we could leave hints and tips for the next set of holidaymakers - suggestions on where to eat, walks, short cuts, etc.
We will probably rebook if we come back this way again as this property was ideal for us.
