Boasting a stunning architectural design, The Boat House at Louper Weir can be found situated on the outskirts of Bowness-on-Windermere, in an area known locally as "Millionaires mile" due to its lavish landscapes and lifestyle. This dwelling is ideal for a romantic retreat for couples seeking an active holiday in the Lake District or a weekend celebrating a honeymoon or anniversary.
Enter through the electric gates from the road and follow the steep drive down through the Louper Weir Estate, towards the beautiful views of Lake Windermere, following signs for The Boat House. Park up at the rear of the Boat House and enter the dwelling down a set of several steps. Arrive into the hallway where the spacious shower room can be found, fit with luxury fixtures and fittings and complimentary toiletries.
This room reflects the contemporary style and high standard of the property. The living arrangement can be found up a narrow spiral staircase to the first floor, where you will find a bright and airy open-plan living space with a sitting area home to Norwegian stress-less chairs where you can recline in the evenings, a well-equipped contemporary kitchen, and a dining area to enjoy all of your romantic meals. The bedroom area can also be found in this space, with a super king-size bed and patio doors out onto the balcony with spectacular views out onto Lake Windermere, this spot is perfect for enjoying your morning cup of tea or an evening drink after exploring the Lake District.
For an evening of true relaxation, head outside to discover your own private hot tub for two, conveniently undercover, so can kick back and relax in the waters at any time of the year. The dwelling also hosts access to the wet dock, as well as providing you with a two-man kayak (for use at your own risk), perfect for the thrill seeker. If you are bringing your own small boat or a dinghy this can be launched in nearby in Bowness-on-Windermere.
The local area of the cottage is perfect for tranquil walks and nature spotting, however just a short car journey will bring you to the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere where you can find a wide selection of attractions including The World of Beatrix Potter, art galleries, and watersporting activities on the lake.
