Originally built in the 1800’s as a stable this pleasant cottage has since been converted to offer accommodation for groups of up to four people.

All the accommodation is laid out over a single level and the living area has been designed in an open-plan style. It retains a lot of its original charm through features such as open roof trusses and a wood-burning stove. In addition to the stove there are convection heaters and night storage-heaters to ensure that you can get the best of what the region has to offer at any time of year.

For hazy, summer evenings the rear garden has barbeque facilities.

RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Good stay, But.
Stable cottage is very well situated for touring the Northumberland coast. It is in Belford which is an interesting village. The layout is very good, and the beds and bathroom were good. It is clean, quiet at night and the wildlife and farm animals etc were interesting. I do feel though that it needs some TLC. The DVD was used during bad weather, and proved to be difficult to use even with following the instructions as it didn't work the way it should have done. We are used to DVD players which made this one frustrating to operate. We didn't like the mix of drinking mugs. Some of the crockery is chipped and needs throwing away. Likewise with some cooking items. The toilet seat needs replacing with a white one. These points are small and easily fixed to make the cottage great again. Overall, the cottage was slightly disappointing, but it is well located and we enjoyed our holiday.

The cottage was welcoming and warm. It was a good location for touring the coast and inland attractions. It was quiet and you could have easily stayed around the cottage relaxing. It was nice to come back to and was always warm and homely.

This is the third time I have been here and I enjoyed it just as much as before. The cottage is nice and warm inside and we loved watching the hedgehog that visited the garden at night.

The property was very clean, neat and tidy. The owners have obviously given a lot of thought to the 'little things' which reflects their consideration for guest's comfort and convenience. The wood burning stove was brilliant! One of the best properties we've ever stayed in.

A very comfortable and relaxing cottage to spend a week of walking the Northumberland coast and inland footpaths. We will return!
