We booked this lodge last minute on the Thursday to go and stay on the Saturday and what a fantastic decision. We arrived about tea time just as the sun was setting it was completely quiet no traffic or noise apart from animals. We went out on to the verandah and all we could hear was the water running by. Inside the lodge was immaculate. The sofa is a little tired but as it is a rental can understand its not worth forking out. The kitchen had all the utilities you could need and full instructions for cooker etc were helpful, shame no dishwasher but not a deal breaker. All in all we had a lovely relaxing time, we sat outside with the blankets provided listening to the water, my boys loved sitting out trying to spot fish and watching the water. We had a knock on the door on the Monday from the owners of the site informing us that the bank next to the lodge needed to be reinforced and there would be diggers a lorry and work going on all day, as we were going out we did not mind too much but we did come back about 4ish and as we were wanting to sit out and have a brew before heading out for a meal we were a bit disappointed that the workers were still there and stayed on until we were leaving to go out. We understood this needed to be done but still a little disappointing. All in all though I would go back in a heartbeat absolutely stunning place with a lovely lodge to cosy up in. Thank you for a lovely stay.

In a superb location set on the rivers edge, a tranquil location made even more beautiful by the sound of nature all around. The neighbouring farm animals were very nice neighbours to have around, seeing the ducks and swans up on the river was a wonderful sight. Had a fantastic stay and are already planning our next holiday at the site. A Star.

Peaceful surroundings, close proximity to the river. All we could hear was the trickling of water in the river, wind in the trees and bird song.
Mr Page

Very relaxing and plenty of local interest to enjoy. River Clun, ducks and bird life (well their songs) helped in the relaxation.
Ms Manley

Had fresh air, peacefulness and quiet with no noisy revelers to spoil the tranquility of the site. I think the lodge had sound proofing, as no noise could be heard from adjacent lodges which made this ideal for us. Most places of interest were easy to get to with well marked directions. I myself enjoyed sitting out on the decking area with my refreshments, no matter what time of day you always had the sun to keep any chills away.
