This wonderful, detached, 19th century barn conversion in Kynnersley can sleep six people in three bedrooms.

Sutherlands Drift is a fabulous, detached, 19th century barn conversion cottage situated on a 400-acre working arable farm in the quiet village of Kynnersley, near Lilleshall. Set solely over the first floor, with ramped access to the rear, the cottage offers a master super king-size double room with a TV and an en-suite shower room. There are also two twin rooms, a family bathroom, and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area, and sitting area boasting a woodburning stove. Outside, there is off road parking for three cars and a large, lawned garden with a patio, furniture, barbecue, and a children's play house. Sutherlands Drift is a wonderful base for exploring Shropshire, all year round.

I was invited to join a group of transgender friends that had booked this cottage for a few days. The cottage had been hired to spend some time together relaxing and socialising. The farm is a working farm, so for discretion, the curtains facing the farm yard were kept closed during the day. One of our friends left to return home and was confronted by somebody from the farm who was very unpleasant and intimidating. This person made accusations that we were bomb making or involved with drugs and demanded to know why the curtains were closed and why we were not going out. Our friend reported back to the group still at the cottage. A phone call was made to the farm owners about this incident and to explain why we had closed the curtains and we invited them to come to the cottage for a drink and to meet us. This didn?t happen. The following evening we had a visit from the same man (who we assume to be the son of the farm owner) at 7 o?clock at night, banging on the door of the cottage. Upon opening the door he again proceeded to aggressively confront us again saying we had upset his family and demanding an apology. This behaviour is totally unacceptable. So if you want some private time, or are in a minority group that might contain vulnerable people, I would avoid this cottage and its owners. It appears that they want to know and see what you are doing. That aside, although the cottage and location are good, the cleanliness is poor. The bathroom fittings were rather careworn and under the bed was thick with cobwebs.

A great setting with fantastic views. The host was very nice and made us feel very welcomed.

The farm setting, with poultry, horse and cattle visible through the windows. The kindness and interest and helpfulness shown by the owners. Very comfortable, warm, cosy place to stay to connect up with our extended family who live in the area.
Mrs Eccleson

What a find, an absolutely beautiful home from home. Very clean with lovely fresh bedding and towels. The kitchen was very well equipped. Plenty of space for the six of us. A beautiful and peaceful location. If you want peace and quiet you must visit.

The couple who owned the farm were so friendly. The views were lovely and it was so warm and comfortable.
