Brilliant cottage for a getaway with family and friends.
This cottage is amazing, it is extremely spacious, spotless and ideal for a large groups. All rooms are comfortable and a good size, all with ensuite. The games room was a big hit with the lads. The lovely log burner kept the cottage warm and cosy. Louise left a much appreciated welcome pack and made us feel at home. It is quiet and peaceful, the perfect location for a relaxing break with fabulous scenery all around. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing stay in an amazing location
I booked this cottage to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday in February. We were 12 people staying at the cottage - 6 couples. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally tidy and all come with an en-suite bathroom. The cottage has a sitting room with a fire, a games room and a very large kitchen with a table and benches big enough to comfortably seat 12 people. The cottage is well equipped with everything you need, and even offers outside space for children to play. Not only did the owner provide tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits, eggs and bacon for our arrival, she even baked a cake for my husband's birthday. I can't thank her enough! The area is remote and absolutely stunning, ideal for people who like nature and nature walks or just want to get away from it all for a while. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and the area, and we are already thinking about coming back. All in all simply perfect!

Spacious and comfortable for a party of up to 12 adults
Arived for a walking weekend at this somewhat remote "cottage". Looks to have been recently renovated to s high standard. All rooms have either shower or bath. Wood burner in living room addsto the atmosphere. Games room with pool sized snooker table (although needs new green baize its still usable) darts donimoes and large screen TV. Dining room/kitchen with Aga style cooker and electric hobs with ample space for 12 to sit and eat together. Our room (above the living room) was exceptiopnall spacious with a large comfy bed and plenty of storage spce. The views are stunning (even in the rain which was horizontal at times) The only problem is the lane up from the main road which is a bit rutted and needs careful navigation particularly if you are arriving in a low vehicle e.g. sports car.

Lovely week away in excellent accommodation
Lovely accommodation for large parties. The final part of the drive up to the house was interesting to say the least but it was worth it. The house is tastefully decorated and large enough to accommodate families or groups of friends. The welcome pack was the best we have ever seen and this was our 29th holiday away with this group of friends. All bedrooms were ensuite - though some were bigger than others. The amount of wood provided for the wood burner was immense. Outdoor seating and a summer house overlook breathtaking views. The owner was lovely and whilst we had no need to contact her I'm sure she would have been immediately available had we had any issues. The house is ideal for touring around the northern pennines and Durham Dales. It is within easy driving distance of Durham, Beamish, Corbridge and High Force. You can walk from the door and we passed many cyclists on the local roads. Would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely house.

First class in every way
This was booked for a birthday celebration, with 7 adults and 6 children of varying ages and it was an ideal place for everybody. The en suite rooms were beautifully furnished, the kitchen had everything we could need and the sitting room and the games room were very well appointed. We could find no fault with it at all.
