Superb
We visited for new year with the family and absolutely loved it, stunning property and a lovely location. We had 12 people in our party and there was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy our visit, also plenty of parking space. The hosts were helpful and only a phone call away. Would definitely visit again.

Stunning
Stayed at this lodge for my 50th with a group of friends. The pictures do not do the place justice. Built, decorated and furnished to a very high quality. Stunning views even when dull. Kitchen had everything you could need. Comfy beds with most of them enough suite. Loved the TV room. Having the hot tub in an out building under cover suited us perfectly. We did not use the sauna. Everyone thought the lodge was amazing and impressed with it. Contact with the family who own it was friendly and welcoming. It would be brilliant to visit in the summer and sit outside looking good at the views. Hopefully we will visit again

Great facilities in a beautiful location
It was great to be greeted with home made bread, chocolates and other goodies. Great downstairs layout for big groups, fab TV lounge upstairs. Location and amenities spot on for what we wanted. Very social set-up with lots to do both in the house and in the vicinity. The spaciousness of the property meant that although we were eleven adults we never felt crowded. Top marks from all of us.

Girls Weekend
We visited in April 19 as a group of 14 for a relaxing weekend away and we weren?t disappointed. The lodge is even better in person than it is in photos. Beautifully finished to a high specification with stunning views and such a tranquil setting. You can not fault the attention to detail and the amenities within the lodge at all, particularly the detached hot tub/sauna room and the upstairs cinema room. The owners are so kind and helpful, and they made everything so seamless and easy. We walked around the village on Saturday afternoon and visited the pub just over the road, then went for tea at The Three Tuns which was perfect. Thank you so much for making our weekend so memorable. We would love to return in future!

Fantastic rural break in a wonderful cottage
Jacobs Lodge is an absolutely wonderful place to stay with family and friends - or both. The lodge has been decorated and finished with a very high spec and all but one of the 7 bedrooms boasts its own on suite shower room. The additional out-building that houses the games room and the sauna/hot-tub is a real added bonus and the surrounding views are absolutely stunning. We stayed in a party of 14 and the cottage is adequately stocked with all the necessary kitchen utensils and mod-cons that would be expected - in fact its probably over and above what would be expected ....... All this and I haven't even mentioned the cinema room upstairs. The local pub is only around 100 yards away and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and its just a short drive to Barnard Castle which has plenty of shops and bars to keep you busy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a holiday here ...... looking forward to going back in the future ourselves.
