North Yorkshire Self Catering cottage, Carvin-Tor, Northallerton, sleeps 6

Uncomfortable, poor facilities. Not as it looks in the pictures
Just returned from this cottage, well below Sykes standard of cottages. Needs some desperate improvements to kitchen, outdoor area with hot tub hasn?t had any attention for along time. The beds were really uncomfortable. The view in the picture must have been taken elsewhere as it's not the view from any window. The hot tub was lovely but no step to get in & out. Cost was £800+ we stayed in a Sykes cottage in May near Berwick which was far less money, absolutely beautiful inside & out. Such an awful waste of a weeks holiday. Avoid

Christmas Honeymoon
My husband and I got married on 21st December and spent our honeymoon and first Christmas together in Carvin Tor. It was such a beautiful time and the cottage was beautiful and so peaceful and quiet! Everything is set on the first floor so you dont even get anyone walking past the window it was just bliss! The hot tub was the icing on the cake for us and is so relaxing and everything in the cottage was beautifully kept and welcoming. The owners even left us a Christmas card and a bottle of mulled wine for when we arrived. We will absolutely be going back for another visit for one of our wedding anniversaries...probably this year for our first one! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet getaway out of the way with eating places etc not too far away. Thank you so much for an amazing holiday/honeymoon/Christmas!
