RECENT CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Many issues, very disappointed
All upstairs rad stats didn't work, the dial parts are loose and worn so do not fit on the valve. As a result the radiators were extremely hot. I had to turn them down using the lockshield valves that were fully open otherwise it would have been unbearably hot upstairs. I would suggest that new thermostatic dials are fitted so that guests can control temperature properly. I also tightened the toilet seat that had been reported as an issue in previous property reviews....it was close to becoming detached. Cottage decoration is very tired, disappointingly so and given its Sykes rating I had expected better. WiFi is poor. Best speed I could get from it was 1.5 mb/s, not great for almost anything. Traffic noise is bad but many reviews say this....just didn't realise how bad Need better curtains or blinds which are ineffective especially for summer months. Decor is very very tired, walls scuffed and woodwork damaged or rotten. Kitchen cupboard door hanging by a thread and worktops unhygienic due to gaps where water has got in. Outside seating is 5m from the road and is really not suited to relaxing...or conversing Could be a nice cottage if it had some investment...but the road noise!

Bitter disappointment
This cottage booked through Sykes was nothing more than disgusting. Dirty sheets, pillow cases ,carpets, rubbish bins, cracked in walls , threadbare carpets, rust microwave, greasy walls. The road was extremely busy and cars used it as a race track. We lost all tv signal at had the retune it. The fire blanket was wedged behind ironing board. But the worse thing was they had covered smoke detector with cling film. My advice do not go there
