Wonderful
A beautiful cottage in a picturesque and peaceful location with incredible views. Inside, the house is airy and light but also very cosy, with lots of blankets and a lovely aga in the kitchen. The decor is lovely and calming and there is everything you need for your stay and everything has it's place. Everything is high quality, from the furniture to the bedding and the toiletries smell so good that I had to ask for the exact same ones as a present from my husband as I wanted the scent in my own home. The gifts on arrival are a lovely touch and not the cheap, generic ones you often find in hotels. The location is perfect for either easy walks or more challenging ones. The nearby towns are great to potter around and get fish and chips and I particularly enjoyed the amount and variety of charity shops, where I bought some lovely vintage items. We will definitely be back.

Magnificent view - beautiful but filthy house - Mould
Proper cleaning is absolutely needed in this otherwise beautiful property. Stunning location but filth everywhere you look. Such a shame. Worst was the mould in one of the bedrooms that we were of course not able to use. We requested a substantial refund of course because of all the trouble we went through. Received some but Sykes Cottages was not much help. The owner is a very nice person but did not seem to notice the amount of dirt in the place. The manager and cleaning lady didn't see the dirt as well. I am very surprised. They went on about the cobwebs but I do know that in old houses daddy longlegs are everywhere and THEY were not the problem at all. It was the OLD dirt. The filth that builds up if you never thoroughly clean a place. And do not forget the MOULD in the downstairs bedroom. They offered to spray it but that simply kills the mold putting all the stinking chemicals in the room. If the reason the mold appears is not taken care of and will simply be painted over it will reappear, destroying the beautiful property bit by bit. Please make sure to check the downstairs bedroom for mould! I took photos and send them to Sykes Cottages but they obviously are not impressed... :-(Weniger lesen

Lovely, well equipped dog friendly cottage near to some great beaches
Lovely cottage, exceptional standards of comfort, especially in the upstairs bedroom areas, nice touches such as local soaps and the whitest fluffiest towels ever. Very good house book, telling you all you want/need to know about the cottage, it's surroundings and appliances. The cottage allows dogs, downstairs only, and helpfully put in the baby gate for us to prevent our nosy Cockapoo exploring further than she should! Covers were on the sofas and plenty blanket throws supplied to cover other furnishings, so we didn?t need to use our own - we kept them for the beach instead as the weather was amazing and so are the surrounding beaches. The garden is lovely, our dog had a great time exploring. It is on a steep slope though, with slate and slab paths, so not great for younger children (you would need eyes in the back of your head) or those with mobility issues. The access to the cottage is steep and tricky, but this is spelt out in the travel instructions provided. We had a great week, and hope to come back sometime. Highly recommend this cottage and its location
