Cosy and idyllic period farmhouse in the beautiful South hams.
My wife and I had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful farmhouse.
The location of the property really is unbeatable. It's situated in the South hams, surrounded by picturesque countryside and an abundance of footpaths. It's also close to the South west coast path, with Wonworth beach just one mile down the road; this was a wonderful spot to watch the sunset and wade across the beach at low tide, despite it being December. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring a number of charming villages, all within a few miles from the property.
The property itself is clean and well presented. Each room is uniquely and tastefully decorated to compliment the period of the property. There is a wood burner in the open plan Kitchen Diner, with logs provided by the host. We found it extremely cosy.
We visited during the covid-19 pandemic and thus decided to self cater for the duration of our stay. We found the kitchen spacious and characterful; all essential amenities were provided and it was genuinely a pleasure to cook in.
We found all of the furniture and beds extremely comfortable.
One of the bathrooms has a large and charming old bath tub, which was perfect for a long soak in following an active day outdoors!
This really is a perfect place to get away from the daily grind. Many thanks to the host for such a lovely stay. We will most definitely be booking another stay in the future.

Lovely and cosy
Lovely, cosy house with all the amenities we could have wished for. The place felt really homely and we found it clean and welcoming and the wine and biscuits were greatly appreciated by us and the dog treats by our dog. Fantastic walks and the beach is just beautiful and great for dog walks. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be planning on returning some time in the new year!

Lovely holiday
Lovely comfortable house and beds were really lovely. Location is fab and the basic facilities are above expectations.
Extra hours for cleaning upon arrival did not appear to be used. House had dust and some of the kitchenware were dirty with previous visitors food on. There was also dog faeces in the garden on the entrance to the property.
It is also important to note that the garden is not enclosed and there are a few areas where small - medium dogs could escape onto country lanes.
Finally, we feel that it needs to be described on the website that the sofa is made of duck feather filling. This resulted in one of our guests having an allergic reaction during our visit. Thankfully it did not result in medical attention but may need to be advices for others with allergies worse than our guest.
