Good experience
Firstly, the weather was extremely hot during our stay, the core temperature of the house was approx 25 degrees and stayed hot at night. This was purely down to the heatwave, and didn?t detract from the rest of our stay. The welcome pack is a good idea, and Paul called me to check that everything was ok when we arrived. The front door had actually warped in the heat, and a maintence man was sent to the house immediately to check it was ok. The layout of the house is good, kitchen diner with separate tv was a nice addition. The lounge is large with a huge sofa that could easily sit 6. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival. Bottled water and milk in the fridge also. The shower worked well, plus upstairs and down toilets very clean recently decorated. The main bedroom is large with plenty of storage. Bed is comfortable. Our daughters shared the twin room and again, no complaints. Outside, there is a hot tub, pool table and a bar, which are all nice touches. It was so hot in the evenings that we didn?t use the tub, but I can see that it would be a great addition in the Spring or Autumn. There were a few inquisitive sea gulls (very tame), I think the neighbours hand feed them. They were also quite noisy, but we are used to it (coming from Isle of Wight). The garden is also very overlooked by other properties but no problems. The road and surrounding area is very quiet, close to the tram (£14 for a family ticket, unlimited use for 24hrs). Short walk to the beach, fantastic sunsets and walks along the promenade. The Venue bar at the far end of the coast (towards Fleetwood) was a good location and served good food. We used the ?Yummy House? Chinese, and the ?Best Kebab and Pizza?. Both were excellent, quick delivery, and good value. We found Cleveleys to be a good base, and 71 Nutter Road was exactly what we needed for our short break. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to familys or groups wanting to be close enough to Blackpool to enjoy it, but far away enough for peaceful mornings and evenings. Thanks again to our host Paul.
