Holiday cottage tucked away in the Dartmoor National Park. Parking. Ashburton less than 5 miles.
The landscape of the Dartmoor National Park is a unique mix of dramatic tors, wooded valleys, stunning gorges and a sprinkling of picturesque villages. On the south-eastern slopes of the moor is the quiet village of Holne, where village life centres around the 13th century church and Community Shop & Tearoom. The Two Moors Way, a long-distance route stretching between Dartmoor and Exmoor, and Buckfastleigh and the ancient stannary town of Ashburton are both four miles away.
Forestoke Linhay is a detached, barn conversion on a small working farm on the edge of Holne. With open moorland just outside the farm gates itâs an ideal location for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. The cottage is traditionally furnished and full of character with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and vaulted ceilings.
The living area is small and cosy, warmed by a wood burning stove. Adjoining the lounge, there is a rustic conservatory with doors opening onto the enclosed, terraced patio garden. From the twin bedroom, doors open onto a small patio and the pretty double bedroom has extensive views towards Torquay and Teignmouth, taking in Hembury and Holne Woods.
