Skipsea Castle stands near the East Yorkshire coast, south of Bridslington. What really sets Skipsea apart is the sheer scope of the enclosing bailey. The castle motte is well preserved, though there is no evidence of structures left on the top, but the bailey outline is clearly preserved and easily visible, giving a good idea of the scale and nature of the site.
