With one double bedroom, a private patio for al fresco dining, and long walks through beautiful countryside, this cottage makes an excellent place for a romantic break.

This lovely, semi-detached barn conversion is situated in the heart of an eleven-acre smallholding, just three miles from Ross-on-Wye. This property has been beautifully renovated, seamlessly mixing the charm of period features with sleek, modern design. The property boasts a chic open-plan living area with modern, well-equipped fitted kitchen and a wood-burning stove for cooler nights.

At such a short distance from Ross-on-Wye, this lovely home-from-home makes a great base from which to explore all this exciting region has to offer, no matter what the time of year.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location
We were worried this cottage would be difficult to reach ,it proved to be in a very convenient location ,less than 2 mins from a B road and 10 mins from Ross on Wye and until almost the farm entrance a wide enough road to allow 2 cars to pass easily, it is on a smallholding more than a farm ,with many footpaths close by. Hideaway has a private garden overlooking a lovely grassed paddock . The cottages are furnished and finished to a high standard . You should be aware that there is a narrow spiral staircase which may present a difficulty for anyone with mobility issues. We enjoyed Zam Zam ,The Man at Ross ( see separate reviews ) . Goodrich castle with its brilliant audio tour .Symonds Yat a beautiful spot but very touristy, lots of lovely walks .

A very peaceful setting, the cottage was warm and cosy. The owners were very helpful and on hand for any queries.
Mrs Middleton

It was our first experience of holidaying in a cottage and also the destination was new to us, and it was an absolutely fabulous experience. The cottage was amazing and the hosts were lovely people, we will be going back next summer, 200% guaranteed.
Mr Gallagher

The fabulous property in a beautiful area made it a special break.

It is a wonderfully peaceful holiday destination. The accommodation is first class with very thoughtful and helpful owners. This was our second visit to Howle Hideaway and will not be our last.
