This property is an architect-designed terraced cottage just a few minutes walk from the centre of Kendal and sleeps two people.

This charming terrace cottage has been beautifully renovated to an architecturally designed plan and offers delightfully different accommodation. It has an “upside-down” layout with the stylish open plan living area on the first floor comprising a contemporary dining and sitting area with a well equipped kitchen, and the ground floor houses the comfortable bedroom and luxurious wet room. Outside there is a small area of garden to the front of the property.

The shops, restaurants and pubs are just a short two minute walk away and there are also pleasant riverside walks which are easily accessible. With the marvellous scenery on offer in this wonderful area this cottage makes a fabulous romantic retreat for two people any time of year.

New review 2018
We have just returned from wood cottage we are very disappointed. The cottage looks nice but a lot of things let it down the bathroom is full of mould and needs updating. The sofa if you could call it that is small old shabby and uncomfortable.we were told plenty of towels would be available but one bath towels and one hand towel each was not enough as we were there for a full week there is no washing machine so we could not wash them. The stairs are slippy that lead up to the main living area if you are bad on your feet/legs you will find it hard to get up and down them.On a positive note a welcome pack of bread butter milk wine and flowers were left which is a nice touch but we were let down by the things we have mentioned. We do not complain about the places we stay in but on paper this sounds ideal but just not for us . The cottage is situated on the edge of the main village which is ideal for shopping eating out and take aways hope this information is useful.

Located in a very convenient position in town for all amenities, with easy access to The Lake District, Howgill Fells and The Dales.

The cottage was refurbished to a high standard and was very close to the town and amenities. The location was excellent as it was quiet and you felt like you were in the countryside. The cottage was well equipped and very comfortable.

Lovely cottage and perfect location. Never had such good nights sleep and loved the mood lights! Everything there for a lovely stay and such lovely touches. Thanks so much for the goodies on arrival. Have already recommended your cottage to friends and family. Thank you!

We loved every part of the holiday - from the little added extras in the cottage, to the fantastic location. A perfect romantic get away in a cosy, snug cottage.
