Fantastic Bank Holiday Weekend
Stayed for 3 nights over the August Bank Holiday weekend! The cottage really is beautiful and not far at all from the village of Coniston! It is very spacious, and has everything you need! All the bedrooms were beautifully decorated! My husband and I stayed in the bedroom with the four poster bed and en-suite with the whirlpool, it was absolutely lovely! You do need to take your own towels for baths/showers!
The kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you need should you wish to cook in the cottage! The fridge freezer was nice with the ice/water machine on the front of it, also the dishwasher! The cottage also has a BBQ which we did use on our first night! It was great! The cottage does not have Wi-Fi so the TV does only have the normal TV channels! There are quite a few games in the lounge area ie: quiz games, monopoly, millionaire, jenga!
Coniston Lake is very close and well worth a visit to! We hired a motor boat for an hour on the lake which we all enjoyed! There are a few pubs and places to eat in walking distance! We ate out at the Steam Bistro which was very nice, you do need to book a table here! We had an Indian takeaway from Sara's Indian Restaurant & Takeaway which was nice! Either collection or you can eat in and take your own drink!
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, you can see how much the owners have put in to making this cottage a lovely place to stay! I would most definately recommend it to people and would love to visit again in the future!

Great place to stay.
Coniston was an excellent place to be. Less touristy than other lakes. The cottage was close to the village and the lake. Great for walking. The Ruskin museum was interesting for a rainy morning. Brantwood was definitely worth a visit, whether on foot or by ferry, or for the less active by car.
The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. The owner had obviously gone to a great deal of trouble to make it appealing. The accommodation was spacious. The garden was smaller than it looked in the photo, but still great for relaxing on a summer evening.

Beautiful home in a superb location.
Stayed here in October 2016 with my wife and four friends.
The house is in an excellent location within 10 minutes walking distance of Coniston Village centre, Coniston Lake, and many start points for hiking the Old Man of Coniston.
The house is beautiful. The bedrooms are airy and comfortable - a great nights sleep as the area is so quiet! The living room makes a great space to relax with friends. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained. The kitchen is excellently equipped - we had no problems cooking a massive roast dinner on the Sunday.
Highly recommended - would love to stay here again in the future!
