Wonderful 2nd stay
Crown cottage is a pretty property in the heart of Penally village, always well maintained and clean for the money paid. Not much in Penally just a pub across the way from the cottage but we went into Tenby most days to make the most if the beach. The only issue would be there's no garden just a small yard area. Always find the owner very accommodating as we book direct with her, would recommend will go back.

Perfect location, peaceful surroundings and a lovely holiday. Would recommend wifi installed so that we can easily check weather forecast etc or emails, but that was the only small downside. Everything else was amazing and extremely clean on arrival. Location perfect with views of Caldey Island and a beautiful beach nearby. Will definitely be returning.

A lovely cottage which was tastefully set out. We loved our stay and cannot recommend the property highly enough. Well done.

We really enjoyed our time at Crown Cottage, the property is ideally situated just a short walk to the beach, local pub, train station and bus stop. The property itself is well maintained, couldn't ask for much more.

A cottage from hell!
Listing just a few of the problems: Gas hob ignition unit not working. Had to light with matches. Not even a proper gas lighter provided. Smoke alarm had been removed with just the fixing plate left on the ceiling. Stair carpet not fitted properly and was a significant trip hazard. Sofa legs collapsed on first evening. Had clearly previously been broken out of their fittings and somebody had tried to push them back with a bodged repair, only for it to fail for the next unsuspecting guest. Toy chest had a heavy lid with supporting catches which were broken. If fell on child, could have caused serious injury. Shower fitting broken and had to be taped up. Rusty saucepans with loose handle which had to be fixed before they could even be used. Inside of windows thick with years of grease and grime. Centre of main double bed supported on 2 blocks of wood. AND LOTS MORE! Apparantly the owner lives away and the cleaning and maintenance had been entrusted to a local company. Clearly they had not done their job and it was obvious that nobody had inspected the premises as many of these problems were immediately obvious. Sykes (the holiday lettings agency) were so horrified that they moved us out into another property immediately on safety grounds and gave us ?100 compensation after we returned home. I cannot thank them enough for the incredible service they provided (on a Sunday morning!) to move us (4 adults and 2 children) and I accept that these issues were not their fault. I would not hesitate to book with them again but a lot needs to be done to this cottage before it is fit to be let again.
