This lovely cottage is perfect for a family or doggie getaway in North Devon. Situated within Exmoor National Park close to pretty Parracombe village and very close to the coast. Pack your binoculars because the farm is home to red deer bats buzzards owls and otters.
Build a den fly a kite or welly walk the river. Footpaths lead from your door to the sea at Heddon s Mouth or straight onto the rugged moors. Beaches pubs and shops are extremely dog friendly.
On the coast are the twin towns of Lynton and Lynmouth connected by their world-famous cliff railway the Valley of the Rocks home to wild goats Combe Martin with its beach and amazing network of rock pools great for kayaking too. Exmoor Zoo Woody Bay Steam Train and Watermouth Castle are all just a short drive away. Take a trip to Lundy Island or spend your days surfing at nearby Woolacombe or Croyde.
On arrival at the property you will see that the ground-floor design embraces open-plan living with a bright and airy ambience and traditional features including original beams and wooden floors. With ample comfortable seating the focal points of the living area are the wood burner and fabulous valley views. Evening entertainment is taken care of with a smart TV/DVD and large collection of dvds toys and games available to borrow.
The fully-fitted kitchen and dining area comes well-equipped with a farmhouse-style dining table a gas oven and hob fridge freezer microwave and a dishwasher. The accommodation also offers three bedrooms; on the ground floor is a twin bedroom which contains twin full sized single four-poster beds constructed from original grain bins and an en-suite WC shower room. The double and second twin bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower over bath WC and shaver point are downstairs.
Stepping outside the property is a private patio complete with picnic table and own BBQ. Three well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at the property. Dogs must be on leads where requested however dogs and owners have access to a half-acre orchard/meadow where they can play at leisure off-lead.
There are lots of on-site facilities for you to enjoy including a children s outdoor picnic/play area with a Wendy house and small climbing frame. In the enclosed grassy courtyard is a shared play barn equipped with table tennis large & small snooker tables skittles croquet and many more toys and games. The shared courtyard has garden furniture and is perfect for playing outdoor games picnicking or a quiet read.
There is an additional shared patio area complete with gas BBQ and chimenea that enjoys spectacular views across the beautiful valley. For convenience there is also access to a shared laundry room with washing machine tumble dryer large overhead drying rack wellies and fishing nets to borrow. There is parking for two cars.
