A real home from home - perfect for family breaks and very pet friendly! This was our second stay at Greystones and we will be booking again! A very spacious and welcoming cottage - spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beautiful Kendal to Lancaster Canal is literally on your doorstep for miles of off-lead walking, and the stunning South Lakes are moments away by car. So much to offer for a family break and lots of local information to hand. littlemisspunctual 2018-04-15
Fan accommodation and close to windermere Just returned from a week stay with friends joining ourselves for a couple of nights. Lovely clean well equipped cottage over 3 floors. Lovely bedding and towels, lovely warm accommodation.
Thoughtful touch with the goodie pack when we arrived much appreciated from our hosts. Thank you. Gated area large enough for 2 cars and secure to let our dog outside. Nice walks close by for our morning walk before we set off to explore the area. Close to Kendal easy reach for with Windermere and national trust venues. We have managed to have a good week weather wise . would recommend to families or couples we loved it. Thanks again for letting us stay at your lovely cottage. janetjowett100 2017-09-30
Comfortable place with a great welcome We had a great stay at Greystones, there where 3 of us and the dog. When we arrived we had a warm welcome off the owner, who couldn't have done enough for us. There was milk, bread, biscuits and other goodies provided, which was a nice thoughtful thing to do.
The accommodation was on three floors which was a bedroom and shower room with wc on the bottom floor, the middle floor was the kitchen/diner/lounge which was big enough for a large family. The top floor had another two bedrooms and shower/wc room.
As holiday accommodation goes this must be rated high for self catering, I have stayed in a few and this rates as one of the best I have stayed in.
There are supermarkets not to far away in Kendal and Milnthorpe, with a local shop and bakery closer. There are plenty of nice eating places nearby, most are dog friendly to. It's not just the Lake District close by, your not to far from the Yorkshire Dales and the Cumbrian coast. David H 2016-09-19
