Excellent pet friendly accommodation.
This is a lovely friendly place to stay. The accommodation was clean and well presented, the kitchen is well equipped although there isn't a freezer there is one in the barn which is easily accessible and very kindly stocked with ice by the owners. Also on arrival there was tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits and milk provided and a lovely bottle of bubbly! The owner Jo even supplied new laid eggs for breakfast! We stayed for three nights and cannot fault anything about the place. We didn't try the hot tub but maybe next time we will. We had lovely views and there are some lovely walks for the dogs there is also a secure area provided for the dogs to exercise in. It was also lovely seeing the geese every morning! If you like the country and want a quiet getaway I would definitely recommend the old corn store.

Okay
Just got back from our 3 night stay, we had a lovely time but some improvements need to be made! Bed was very uncomfortable as were the sofas! Also found lots of dog hair! Was very hot! Because the heating is on continuous the air is hot and very dry!! The lady that owned the property met us once and then was never to be seen again! Would of been nice for her to offer to show us around the farm! Hot tub was lovely although a little grubby! Also the area around the hot tub was grubby! The track down to the accommodation was terrible! Very steep and bumpy! Hardly passable! The milk, biscuits, bubbly and flowers were a nice touch but unfortunately we won?t be returning.

Great from start to finish!
We have just got back from an amazing weekend at the old corn store. The views are lovely and aswell so are all the animals. One of the geese came in the lodge and made himself at home :) the under floor heating was a bonus aswell and the complimentary bottle of bubbly on arrival was enjoyed in the hot tub. Was a great weekend from start to finish :)

Relaxing getaway
We had a very relaxing time at the Old Corn Store. The owners were there to greet us when we arrived (and were available to contact when we had any questions), and it was a nice touch to have some bubbly and milk/tea bags in the kitchen when we got in. There were lovely views, and the hot tub was amazing (it got used a lot!). The WiFi was virtually nonexistent though, not sure if it was better in any of the other holiday cottages - in ours we could rarely get connection and when we did it was really weak. Would be good to have a WiFi booster or something. The under floor heating was nice, it was set a bit warm when we got in but we turned it down and it was nice and pleasant. Our dog loved it, he enjoyed the field but wasn?t too sure about the geese! There were lots of dog friendly places to visit nearby, such as Hardcastle Craggs, which was good. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Great for animal lovers
As we are both pensioners found this cabin too far to walk to shops or pubs because of the very steep banks, had to use car for any trip out. Joan the owner gave us a lift to train station for a steam railway trip then picked us up again. Small cabin but everything u need is there including a private hot tub which was used daily. Joan brought us hens, duck and even an emu egg each. Animals in abundance, the friendly owners Jo & Stu took us around to feed the feed the alpacas and donkeys, see the pigs, emus geese, hens etc. Jo even brought one of the baby emu into the cabin for us to pet, great to see it scampering around. The peacocks came around the front of the cabin every day, and enjoyed the heat from the hot tub, the turkey came and settled at your feet so u could rub his head. One of the farm cats adopted us for the week coming in daily for a feed (or two) then settling down on the settee with us, going to bed with us, exiting out of the window early morning. Easy commute to POIs, possibly the best place to stay for animal lovers.
