A beautifully designed, detached holiday home in Skellingthorpe near Lincoln, with three flexible bedrooms accommodating up to six people.

Broadleaf House is a wonderful, detached holiday home in Skellingthorpe near Lincoln, beautifully designed by the owner themselves. The property is bright and spacious, with three flexible bedrooms; one with a king-size bed, en-suite shower room and a day bed with the ability to be converted into two singles, alongside two rooms with super king-size beds that can both be unzipped into twin beds too. There is also a bathroom with a corner bath and a separate shower cubicle, a kitchen with a dining area, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and a snug seating five where you can watch TV.

There is also a second dining table in the conservatory, with views over the garden. From the large landing on the first floor, doors open onto a balcony with seating, so you can soak up the views with a glass of your favourite tipple. There is off road parking for four cars, including a space under a car port, and a horse box.

The paddock is available with an electric fence and water by arrangement with the owner, and off road hacking can be enjoyed too. With so many wonderful things to do nearby, as well as beautiful accommodating to return to, Broadleaf House truly does make a fantastic holiday home for all!

We stayed here as a family of 8 over the New Year period. What can we say a beautiful, spacious house with everything you could wish for. It was warm, clean and huge x The rooms were comfortable and clean enough seating for everyone. The bedrooms were big and beds were comfortable. Plenty of room for the children to play. The staircase was huge and the panaramic balcony Was to die for . Jane provided lots of information about the village and Lincoln..even taxi numbers xx Lovely walk to the village where there are two very nice pubs .Taxi into Lincoln was ?7:00 . Can not fault this house ..large dining kitchen equipped with everything.A conservatory which in the summer will be lovely to use . Thanku Jane x

Excellent
The best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many lovely cottages/houses. The House is spacious, light and lovely and clean. The beds and bedding are so comfortable. We were 4 adults and 2 x 15 month toddlers, the house worked really well for us. Do not hesitate to book if you are thinking of visiting this area. Lincoln close and easy to get too. Lovely peaceful location with great walks to hand although we did not get far due to the "beast from the east" and approx 6-8 inches of snow and drifts. Jane the owner is just lovely and unobtrusive. Thank you to Ben for the logs. We will most definitely be back. Thank you

A Marvellous Week
Having had 11 cottage (actually large house) holidays in the last 3 years all excellent, Broadleaf House is up with the best. We went to visit Lincoln for a Christmas week and this was far better than any hotel or B&B stay. Lovely to come back on a cold night to an already warm house and start the log burner (plentiful supply of logs) and settle down, have a drink and relax before going to bed. Rooms and amenities are all excellent and as described on the website. Jane who built the house herself is very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her or Ben. We went to the Lincoln Showground to catch the Christmas Park and Ride and also visited a large antiques fair. Although there are 2 pubs in Skellingthorpe, a trip to the Dambuster Inn at Scampton,(near the showground) which is full of character real open fire serving excellent food and drink is worth a visit. Also Doddington Hall is not far away and is also worth a visit. We had a marvellous stay at Broadleaf House and would have liked longer, so it is our intention to go again very soon and would highly recommend staying to anyone looking for a relaxing break.

Stunning House,Comfy and large but still very cosy
We stayed for a week in Broadleaf House in November, We were greeted by the owners on arrivals and shown were everything was and how it all worked, They were very friendly but not at all intrusive, they just said ANYTHING you need do not hesitate to call, The house itself is a large comfy house in a very quite lane just out of Skellingthorpe, a 5 min walk up the lane and you are into the woods which are lovely, the house is very well thought out - everything you need is there - The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and the beds are the best we have stayed in. The front room (one of 2) has a wood burner in which even for a complete fool like me found it easy to light and it put pout enough heat for the coldest nights, and a large comfy sofa and 2 chairs, the other front room is called "the Snug" but not at all small but very handy if you are stilling with children The kitchen has everything you need (inc a 4 slice toaster you would not believe how many places we stay in where it is only a 2 slice one!!) There is also a dining table in there as well as one in the conservatory just off the main front room Lincoln is a very easy 5/10 min drive away We will def be going back and would recommend it anyone looking for a stay with a small or large party in Lincolnshire

Comfortable and Beautiful
When I write a review for TripAdvisor, I do try to be objective and give the plus and minus points. My problem with writing about this property is, there are no negatives! I think this is probably the best places we have ever been to! Broadleaf house is set in the Old North Wood just outside the village of Skellingthorpe. The location is perfect for the country but, is also handy for the city of Lincoln. We used it as a base to visit some of the great local attractions. This is a beautifully furnished, well equipped spacious property which is incredibly comfortable. We were 5 adults and 1 under 2 year old and there was plenty of space for us all. We all had a great time and the family insisted that we plan a return trip.
