Simply Outstanding Cottage
Lovely welcome from Wendy & Pete upon arrival. The Milking Parlour was stunning and a real credit to the obvious time and effort that has been put into it, finish is to a high standard and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Ideally located for that we wanted, some lovely pubs nearby. We enjoyed lovely meals at The Reform Inn in Thorncliffe and The Royal Oak at Hurdlow, both of which were 10-15 mins drive away. We visited Buxton, Bakewell and enjoyed rides along the Monsal Trail and the Tissington Trail, all of which we would recommend. Wendy & Pete were very helpful and informative when we needed to ask anything and couldn't have been welcoming. Alfie was sad to say bye to Bertie, Maisie, Perry and Percy ( the 4 Donkeys ) who live on the Farm. Wonderful place to stay.

The Best
This is the best holiday accommodation that we have ever stayed in. I would happily have moved in permanently and having Wendy as a neighbour would have been the icing on the cake. This was a luxurious cottage, with every amenity needed for a wonderful holiday. The cleanliness was exceptional as was the condition of everything. We loved cooking in the spacious kitchen diner and relaxing in the comfortable sitting room or sitting outside looking over the valley. The outside areas are kept as well and cared for as the internal areas and the gardens are a real bonus as are the chickens and donkeys (who were always pleased to see you). The locations allows for some stunning walks without the need to drive anywhere. Easy reach of many local attractions, and the local village has a shop and fish & chip shop and a couple of pubs (not that we used any) , but it is a drive to destination as it's a bit of a walk.

Excellent accommodation
What an excellent cottage this is. Very well presented and finished to a very high standard, This is an absolute gem. Wendy and Pete, the owners, made us very welcome and recommended places to eat. So popular we couldn?t get in. Maybe next time. Feeding the donkeys became a ritual. Carrots in the morning and afternoon tea of ginger nut biscuits. They soon got used to that. We found it pretty central to where we visited. Chatsworth House, Bakewell, Buxton, and a little further to Jodrell Bank and to the potteries in Stoke. I would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

Fantastic Cottage
We arrived on the Saturday and was met by Wendy what a lovely warm welcome to the start of our holiday next Pete comes a joins in for a chat. Petes enthusiasm for his milking parlour conversion was lovely with lots of tips for a project we are undertaking. The standard of the workmanship on Milking parlour was lovely. The quality of the fittings and furniture are to be admired no skimping on this project.quality kitchen appliances. The Open fireplace with log burner in the lounge will make cosy winter evenings although the central heating system is very efficient, you certainly won?t be cold in this Cottage what ever the weather is outside. Waking up to the distant sound of the chickens or the four Donkeys in the field was heaven, Important tip don't forget to feed the Donkeys their favourite ginger nut biscuits and to balance their diet they do appreciate a nice carrot or two. Wendy also sells eggs so treat yourself to very fresh eggs for your breakfast. The local area has some nice pubs and restaurants as well as the Market town of Bakewell not to fa4 away. Visit Bakewell on a Market day Monday and enjoy a coffee and slice of Bakewell tart. Chatsworth House is just up the road well worth a visit. If you fancy throwing a pot or two the Wedgewood factory tour is very informative and for a bit of fun have a go at making a pot of your own. The factory shop has some nice bargains so treat yourself. In summary lovely people Pete and Wendy the Owners of the Milking parlour, highly recommend their property, you certainly won?t be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely stay
