Do not stay!!!
Myself and my partner went down to this cottage in January after Christmas for a belated birthday, the cottage itself is lovely and we could not fault it! The area itself was beautiful full of lovely walks and country pubs! The second day of our stay after a long walk we returned to the property and decided to use the jacuzzi bath after being muddy, cold and wet only to find there was no hot water. The area the cottage sits in has no signal and the property has no working wifi, I managed to text the owner to let her know about the hot water situation to which she responded to press the boost button and wait 15 minutes. I followed her instructions and waited 30 minutes, still no hot water, the owner never came to sort this problem out despite living only several doors away. The owner was rude in her messages then decided to completely ignore us and left us cold, wet and muddy without any opportunity of hot water. I tried to call the owner to which she did not answer. We ended up leaving the property early on the third day as there was no hot water/heating and it was unbearable. The owner never contacted me once to apologise or to try sort the problem she just left us to be unhappy. We also accidentally as rushing to leave left one of our bags which I contacted her about a day later and she still continued to ignore me, she was awful and I wouldn?t recommend staying here as it seems other individuals have had issues with the owner.

Average Stay
When first arrived we were impressed especially with the great mood settings. However when looking at finer details it wasnt so good - the bath leaked every time we used it especially as it doesnt appear to have been sealed in and it looks like an ongoing problem from the water stains on the ceiling. It was also dusty and full of crumbs / dirt in places especially under the sofa and under the edge of the washing machine etc. The toilet seat was broken when first got there and we contacted the lady who came to 'fix it' but it was broken again after an hour making it unsafe to use at times we did recontact the lady but no answer!! Sadly we will not be staying here again.

Beautiful cottage in stunning location!
We have just returned from a week stay at this beautiful cottage. It was perfect for dog walks with many places of interest nearby and beautiful walks on your doorstep. The cottage is immaculate and well thought out with modern fixtures and fittings - a real home from home. This is our second year stopping at Primitive Croft and I know we'll be back again.
