Picture postcard property in picture postcard village
The Old School was lovely and the village is idyllic. The exterior of the property is beautiful and central to the village, it has the church to one side, the pond to the other and the village pub just passed the pond, the only blight was that they were dredging for the entire week (unfortunate timing). The interior is wonderful, well furnished and spacious, the pictures don't do it justice, in pre-teen terms it's epic! Travel to the northern coast is 30-45 minutes and the east coast 120 minutes but travel is not too bad. Kings Lynn has Tesco, Sainsbugs etc, The Foldgate Inn has excellent food and service.

Relaxing Family Break.......
We spent three nights at this great property with our family including children and our dog. It is a very beautifully presented family home in a pretty village as you can see from the pictures (Check Sykes cottages website for pics). It is very homely, spacious and has everything you should need in a self catering cottage, the beds were extremely comfortable and we all slept well...even the dog was provided with a great comfortable bed and a mat to put his food trays on in a great large utility room leading out to a lovely enclosed garden area with seating and parasol. The village has a lovely pond with benches where you can sit and see ducks and people fishing, also a farm next door where you can see cows, horses and chickens. The pub over the road is a typical village pub and serves food on Wednesday thought to Friday which looks like good classic pub food from what I saw. We drove to various nearby villages/towns all lovely and then went to the coast then a great place called high lodge which had a great forest for bike riding plus go ape which the kids loved! Would recommend this lovely place to stay Thank You and would love to return one day
