Quaint, central, well equipped cottage ideal for weekend stay
What a lovely cottage in a divine courtyard! As you enter the courtyard to the left you go up three or four steps, the ground floor is nothing more than the start of the staircase with coat hooks (the next door restaurant appears to have bought the majority of the floor space). Up a floor the kitchen is quite small but very well equipped with anything you might need for a short stay including salt and pepper etc so you don't need to bring half your house with you! There was a welcome gift which was a lovely touch. Four of us stayed for 2 nights and it was excellent, couldn?t be any more central. There are two leather settees and a coffee table in the same room as the kitchen with a toilet on that floor. Up a floor and you have the bathroom and double bedroom, finally you reach the attic space with twin beds. The view from the attic is lovely but it's a heck of a climb if you are not used to stairs (from a bungalow occupant it near killed me!) There is a pub, a restaurant and a shop in the courtyard, the pub didn?t seem to stay noisy for very long of a weekend evening which was nice. Two additional things worth a mention, the info that you get sent will tell you to look for a purple door ? I have not been diagnosed colour blind but I would say it's not purple anymore! Secondly, whilst the blurb says room for a small car, we are talking smart car small, I doubt if anything wider than that will get through the brick archway (we tried), also, we chose to come on food festival weekend and the market was on so even getting close was quite difficult so perhaps not for those with mobility issues. Overall though, the interior was finished to a very high standard and I couldn?t fault a thing.

Fabulous place, love to go back
Stayed here for a week while on business so didn?t take full advantage of the facilities or location. Next time though. Central location, near some great places to eat and drink. Comfortable and well equipped. Booking and arrival was very smooth as well.
