Perfect,no expense spared
The two week stay i had was excellent, everything was easily accessed, and the rooms were beautiful. Will definitely use again, Left feeling relaxed.

Fantastic cottage
Acorn cottage exceeded our expectations. It was clean and inviting and set in an ideal location in a small village. It is in an good position for exploring the area and is rural enough so that you can unwind away from ever day life. This cottage has to be one of the best places we have stayed at so far. The quality of the interior and the furnishings was to a very high standard and everything was there which you could possibly want. Be aware of the angled ceilings in the two front bedrooms. I managed to bang my head on them many times as I was not used to them having come from a house with 9ft ceilings! The rear of the house got the sun all day long and we were blessed with good weather during our stay. The sheep along with some pigs were in the field at the rear of the house and one of our dogs spent hours watching them. The garden is very secure if you take dog with you. In all, it was a lovely stay and shall certainly like to go back one day.

delightful cottage in lovely village
We had two weeks at Acorn cottage in early spring. The cottage was very well equipped, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The 3 bedrooms were all of a reasonable size, and the bathroom was spacious and efficient. Those with mobility issues should note that the shower is over the bath. There was a large kitchen with plenty of utensils, and a washing machine. While there was no clothes dryer, we found that the conservatory made an incredible drying room - clothes left there were dry in a couple of hours (when we used the room, we opened doors and windows to cool it down.) There was an excellent wifi service. Plenty of books and games were also provided. As an added bonus, we were there in spring, and saw the new lambs being let out with their mothers in the field behind the cottage. The Royal Oak pub was a minute away, providing great meals, drinks and good atmosphere. The village church had bell-ringing practice on Thursday evening - bells over the meadows! We also loved the fact that there were plenty of opportunities to undertake enjoyable walks from the cottage, with Burrator Reservoir being particularly recommended. Just one more warning - Meavy is a village in Devon, which is not noted for wide roads! The access to the village winds through about half a mile of high hedges, one lane wide with only a couple of opportunities to pass - which being said, in our two weeks we only had to reverse once! This was a real home away from home - we loved it.
